“Who am I?” – Way to cue an existential crisis right?
Well, I am a young and inspired creative who looks for any and all opportunity to celebrate YOU and all the joy that you bring! Adelaide born and based, I am deeply in awe of this little city and all it’s hidden beauties.
Married to the man of my dreams at a mere 19 years of age and now in the deep end of being a young wife, I spend my time obsessing over raising my many houseplants, drinking way too much hot chocolate, and planning beautiful shoots with even more beautiful people. I take myself both very seriously, and not seriously at all, and know above all how to have a great laugh, surrounded always by my people.
My exposure to cameras was before I could remember, with my mum having one in her hand what felt like 24/7. We shared the love of capturing memories, and I grew up surrounded by shelves and shelves of photo albums (no but seriously – you should see the bookcase full at my parents house!) Photo albums that were, and are still, continuously pulled from their place to display through their turn-weary pages, the joy that is people. Even from an early age, I was obsessed with the magic of a camera, and those raw and genuine moments captured.
And so I began shooting. I remember borrowing mum’s old worn digital camera on family holidays, tinkering with my grandfather over old film, going out exploring and clicking to my hearts content, discovering love through the lens of a camera. Exploring my way around the manual settings of a camera for art projects in high school, I then continued my creative studies with The Adelaide College of Arts when I accidentally enrolled myself at uni. I’m now 3 years into a creative bachelors degree that I love, and that continues to challenge, and majoring in – you guessed it – photography.
It wasn’t my first instinct to do photography professionally, and it took a good (deserving) kick up the butt from some of my closest friends before I shared my work with the world and got my little business off the ground. Without them, I wouldn’t be here talking with you!
So now that you’ve gotten to know a little bit about me, I’d love to get to know a little bit about you! Please feel free to message me about bookings or meeting up over hot chocolate, or of course if you just want to share any tips or tricks about houseplants. No matter what your reason, I so do look forward to hearing from you!
